The Flexy can publish data via different communication protocols: OPC UA, Modbus, etc.
On this page you can configure the Ewon to act as an OPCUA Server. This allows to expose the Ewon tags (and so the data) to 3rd-party applications that feature an OPC UA client.
The window allows you to:
- Specify the port used by the OPCUA server:
Default value is 4840 - Select the Ewon Tags you want to publish: tags belonging to group A,B,C,D
If you want to publish all tags leave the A,B,C,D checkboxes unchecked.
More info on the A,B,C,D groups can be gound in the Tag Visibility section of the Tag Values. - Specify the type of login type: Anonymous, Username/Password (default setting) or Certificate.
- Specify the method used by the Ewon to export the tags: you should only use the ‘Export TAGs by name’ option (default value). The ‘Export TAGs by ID’ should not be used (only used for backward compatibility with older versions of Ewon firmware)
- Upload the certificate used for the OPCUA connection: Click the + button to upload the certificate to the Ewon.
- Trust or reject a client certificate
Further details on the configuration of Ewon as an OPC UA server, in particular on setting up certificates, can be found in our e-learning area: https://elearning.hms-networks.com/course/tag-publishing
