Installation Guide for Ewon Edge Gateways |
How to start with your Ewon® Edge gateway: Power on your device using a 24 VDC power supply. Check IG-0035-00 on our support page. Plug the Ethernet cable providing the internet connection to the Ewon Edge on the WAN connector. The Ewon Edge is set in DHCP client mode by default. If the Uplink LED switches on, it means that the connection to the Ewon Cloud is established and your Internet connection is working. If the Uplink LED is never on, then you might need to configure some Internet connection settings like static IP settings or Web proxy in the Ewon Edge using a USB drive. The configuration file to copy on the USB drive will be generated by the Ewon Cloud at device commissioning. Another reason why the device could not connect to the cloud might be caused by on-site firewall restrictions. Make sure you whitelist the TCP443 connections to *.ewoncloud.com" Connect the Ewon Cloud by visiting the URL www.ewoncloud.com. If it is the first time, you'll be prompted to create a user. Once your user is created, you can either create your own space or you join an existing space (from someone's invitation to join their space).
