What does the "grace period" mean for Talk2m free accounts?
Customers have until August 2024 to comply with the new conditions : register a device for 12 months free or switch to Talk2m light or Talk2m pro.
If no action is taken, their free account will be suspended and they will no longer be able to connect to their devices.
In addition, as of May 2024, there is no longer a grace period in Talk2m free plan. The new conditions are now communicated and we inform our customers 3 months in advance by e-mail if any action is required on their part.
Talk2m free accounts have limits on the total consumption possible within a given month. If you want to continue using a Talk2m free account, make sure you register a device at least once every 12 months. If the last device registered was before August 2023, it's important to act quickly.

All features of Talk2m free plan remain the same. The only difference concerns the end of the grace period that previously applied when data transfer limits were exceeded. Now, when this happens, your account is directly capped.
We understand that you might accidentally exceed your limits in a given month due to extenuating circumstances (such as a demanding client or additional support needed for a new project).
This means:
If you exceed the VPN traffic limit, then until end of the month, it will not be possible to connect to the Ewon devices remotely using Ecatcher or M2web.
If you exceed the Data upload limit, then until end of the month, the Ewon device will stop synchronizing its historical data with the DataMailbox.
It also means that the grace period is permanently removed for your Talk2m free account and the limits will be enforced.
If you reach or exceed your limits for 3 consecutive months, then it’s a sign that you’re ready to upgrade to our Talk2m pro services.
