The scope of the current article is to describe the Adapters currently used to transmit and receive data to the i4connected Devices.

The role of Adapters at the level of i4connected is to convert signal values of an otherwise incompatible Server or PLC. As i4connected enables the usage of multiple Device types and Adapters, each exposing its range of settings.
Note
Adapters can be viewed by users having at least the View adapters permission enabled, on a hierarchical level. Users can be assigned to adapters by clicking the Users toolbar button of the Edit adapter panel.
