Organizational Units
The Organizational Units represent the logical structural units of a customer that can form complex structures, having other Org Units in their hierarchies.
The Organizational Units represent the logical structural units of a hierarchy. These structural units don't have a physical correspondence like Sites do, but can be used to group devices into logical structures, from the customer's perspective (like production, accounting, management, etc). The Organizational Units can form complex structures, having other Organizational Units in their hierarchies.
In i4connected portal, the hierarchical structure is most commonly formed by both Sites and Organizational Units. This allows the user to pinpoint any specific part of the Customer's business. Check out the simplified example below:
