Description
When connecting the Ewon by HMS Networks Licensing Dongle using an USB 3.0 port of a host machine and trying to map the dongle port to a virtual machine, a driver error occurs and the virtual machine operating system doesn't recognize the Ewon by HMS Networks Licensing Dongle. Only the host operating system recognizes the dongle connected via USB 3.0.
Solution
The Ewon by HMS Networks Licensing Dongle should be connected to a USB 2.0 port when mapping it to a virtual machine. Most modern virtual machine software will detect the Ewon by HMS Networks Licensing Dongle plugged in USB 2.0 by default, without manual mapping.
