Description
When connecting the WEBfactory 2010 Licensing Dongle using an USB 3.0 port of a host machine and trying to map the dongle port to a virtual machine, a driver error occurs and the virtual machine operating system doesn't recognize the WEBfactory 2010 Licensing Dongle. Only the host operating system recognizes the dongle connected via USB 3.0.
Solution
The WEBfactory 2010 Licensing Dongle should be connected to a USB 2.0 port when mapping it to a virtual machine. Most modern virtual machine software will detect the WEBfactory 2010 Licensing Dongle plugged in USB 2.0 by default, without manual mapping.
